Chris Brown & Rihanna: Keeping It On The Low?

Hello my people! How has life been treating y’all? I hope good. If not, it will get better.

Moving on, I’ve been reading a few things on the internet about R&B/Pop superstars, as well as former lovers, Rihanna and Chris Brown hooking up in secret in Los Angeles over the past year. Despite rumors and recent tweets concerning the two which point in that direction, Brown’s rep Jeff Raymond told ABCNews.com that they are ‘just friends’.

As we all know, about 3 years ago Chris physically abused Rihanna which led to their separation. Members of Rihanna Navy and Team Breezy will undoubtedly be against this situation, if true. Don’t get me wrong, what Chris did was wrong. A man should never hit a female. But honestly I feel he was genuinely remorseful for his actions and has learned to control his anger. Obviously Rihanna believes he has changed for the better, otherwise she wouldn’t supposedly be dealing with him in that way.

Anyway, we don’t know for sure if any of this is true or not. If they do decide to get back into a serious relationship and make it work, then I’m all for it. I would feel bad for his current girlfriend though, Karrueche Tran. But what can you do about true love? If it’s meant to be, then it will be.

Monday Mixtape Madness!! #4

Yo yo yo!! What it is everybody? I’m back with another segment with some hot new music for y’all. Let’s check them out!!

1st up is Grand Hustle artist B.o.B. His latest mixtape EPIC, which stands for ‘Every Play Is Crucial,’ was released Nov. 28th. Overall it’s a pretty good mixtape. I’m not a hardcore B.o.B. fan but I do like some of his music. His flow along with his voice is unique to me. I think this is worth a listen.

Suggested Tracks: Epic ft. Playboy Tre & Meek Mill, Boom Bap ft. T.I. & Mos Def, Welcome to the Jungle

Next we have Young Money rapper Tyga. He just dropped his new mixtape #BitchImTheShit last night at midnight. This mixtape is basically him going in over some club type beats, which works rather well with his word flow. He also introduces his Last King artist Honey Cocaine. This is mos def worth a listen & dL.

Suggested Tracks: B**ch Better Have My Money ft. YG & Kurupt, In This Thing, F**k With You

Last we have the Shooter himself, Swagga Boy Los. His new mixtape ‘The Crown Ain’t Safe’ was released earlier today. If you don’t know who this is, then you better find out. His lyricism and metaphors are just crazy. However, the production on most of the tracks is pretty mediocre. He really needs to find some better beats. Take a listen anyway because it’s worth it for the lyrics.

Suggested Tracks: King Los ft. Lola Monroe, What’s Good, Get It ft. XV, Vintage Rolls Royce Interior

Busta Rhymes & Mystikal: Cash Money?!

Yo what’s the deal everybody? Alright, so I just found out that both Busta Rhymes AND Mystikal are officially signed to Birdman’s Cash Money Records. This. Is. SHOCKING!! Honestly, I would never have thought these 2 people, of all people, would be added to the roster. It just doesn’t seem like the right fit for them. I’ve been seeing comments from others saying that Busta should’ve consider signing with Eminem’s Shady Records. I feel that move would have suit him perfectly. His style of rapping fits with their whole roster. Mystikal, who just was recently released from prison, is supposedly working with Mannie Fresh on his new album. To be real, I think he should have tried to get with Brick Squad. His energy and charisma would mos def work compliment with Waka Flocka. But yeah, this is some big s**t. We just gonna have to wait and see how this plays out.

NBA Lockout: Offer Refused

So it seems this NBA lockout will eventually lead to no season this year. The players’ union, which represents the entirety of the league players, has refused the leagues’ table offer and will file an antitrust action against the NBA. To me it just sounds like a bunch of kids who can’t have exactly what they want, so they don’t want anything at all. Compromises were made on both ends and that’s what needs to be understood. So the players might have to cut back on some of their expenses. Is that a problem? They have more expenses than any average person so they should be thankful. I understand how it is to fight for your beliefs and rights, but sometimes you’ve got to learn when to give in a little bit. In my opinion, of course. Click on the link below for further info.

PASSION X PAIN X PLEASURE

“The PASSION I have for my art fuels my drive and work ethic, while the sacrifice of my personal life to benefit my career will always be a source of PAIN. The PLEASURE that I derive from my work and my accomplishments make everything worth it.”
